"The SoCal Coyotes are focused on a repeat trip to title game."

SoCal Coyotes coach J. David Miller made a bold prediction prior to the season-opener for his AAA-level football team.

Miller vows that after playing in two consecutive national championship games — falling short in both — this year’s Coyotes are primed for a return to the title game, and tonight the local franchise makes that first step.

“A lot of people said we could not have professional football in the valley and we had a greater vision,” said Miller, whose squad kicks off at 7 p.m. at Xavier College Prep against the South Bay Spartans (tickets are $10). “We bet we could attract great talent. We can play AAA football at the very highest level that would attract the people we have.

“The guys that make up this team from around the Coachella Valley and around the country, we’ve joined together for a reason. Some guys are looking for their next step, their opportunity. They’ve been knocking on the door. We’re all here as one.”

"Would also like to acknowledge one of our premier sponsors, Dickie O'Neal's Irish American Pub & #Family #Restaurant, in Palm Springs."

#Dickie #O'Neal's #Irish #Pub in #Palm #Springs donated the use of their beloved Paddy Wagon to transport the players back and forth from practice.

The SoCal squad also has more than 25 players from around the Coachella Valley.  SoCal Coyote games are played on Saturdays at 7pm, #Xavier College Prep field in Palm #Desert.
